Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the La Mesa Team Behind DryMark Restoration La Mesa
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your walls or mold’s turned a closet into a hazard zone. Every person on this page has been background-checked, licensed, and insured before they ever pulled into a La Mesa driveway. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that we all work under the same rule: Haven Standard, Clause 1. Written price before work starts. Every time. No exceptions.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, watching homeowners lose tens of thousands on denied claims because the restoration company didn’t document the job properly. One missing moisture log, one photo gap, and the carrier would reject the whole invoice. I built this company around fixing that exact problem. I still review every major scope before it goes to the customer, and I sign the 365-Day Done Right Promise personally. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually arguing with a desk adjuster about vapor pressure differential readings. They hate that I know their manual better than they do.
Marcus T., Lead Water Technician
Marcus has been drying structures for fourteen years, starting with commercial losses in San Diego County before joining us in 2019. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), and he’s the person we send when a job has gone sideways with another company. His specialty is tertiary drying, the final phase where most crews pack up too early and leave moisture trapped behind baseboards. Marcus carries a thermal imaging camera on every call and won’t sign off until the psychrometric data proves the structure is dry. He also makes the best terrible coffee in the company, which he brews in a press pot he keeps in the truck. We’ve all learned to bring our own.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena joined us in 2017 with a background in hospital environmental services, which is where she learned containment protocol that most residential crews never see. She’s certified in Mold Remediation (AMRT) and specializes in Category 3 water losses where mold colonization has reached the framing. Her human detail: she talks to homeowners’ dogs while she works. Every single one. She says it calms the animal, but we’ve noticed it calms the homeowner too. Elena’s the reason our La Mesa mold jobs have zero callback rate for odor recurrence. She won’t let a crew leave until she’s personally verified negative air pressure in every contained zone.
David K., Service Coordinator
David answers the phones. That’s his official title, but what he actually does is keep the chaos from reaching you. He’s the live voice at (858) 264-2736 at 2 a.m. when a pipe bursts in Rolando, the person who dispatches Marcus or Elena within minutes, and the one who builds your written scope before anyone touches your property. He’s been with us since 2015 and knows every adjuster at every major carrier by first name. David’s detail: he keeps a wall map of La Mesa in the office with push pins for every job we’ve done since he started. He says it helps him give accurate drive-time estimates. We think he just likes seeing the coverage.
Javier M., Restoration Apprentice
Javier came to us in 2022 through a veterans’ transition program after eight years in Navy damage control, where he learned to stop flooding on a ship that’s literally designed to sink slowly. He’s working toward his WRT certification and currently handles equipment deployment, moisture monitoring, and the detailed photo documentation that makes or breaks an insurance claim. Javier’s the one who labels every photo with room, date, time, and moisture reading before it goes to David for the customer file. His detail: he calls every dehumidifier by the name the manufacturer gave it. “The Phoenix 200 MAX is running in the living room.” We’ve tried to break him of this. We have failed.
One Standard, Every Job

DryMark Restoration La Mesa operates under The Haven Standard, the same documentation and pricing protocol that governs every independently owned and operated location in our network. That means Haven Standard, Clause 1 applies here exactly as it applies everywhere else: you get a written price before any work starts, with no scope additions once our crew is inside your home. It means every visit produces a documented photo record, every drying job generates daily moisture logs to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, and every customer receives the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing, signed by Alicia Brennan. We don’t do verbal assurances. We don’t do “we’ll figure it out as we go.” The equipment in our La Mesa trucks, Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry systems, is the same professional-grade hardware deployed across the network, maintained on the same schedule, operated by technicians who’ve passed the same background and licensing verification. The only thing local about us is the address and the people. The standard doesn’t change.
